going pretty well, just living man..
pretty hectic actually, a lot of driving back and forth to the studio, as well as many hours spent there. gets tiring, but you gotta do what you gotta do…
honestly just growing man, progressing with the music ya know..performing at bigger venues, recording in bigger studios, all that good stuff. I’m blessed.
I got a little more personal then I’ve ever gotten on this one..some of the songs were actual letters and poems I had written previously. Just certain things to get off the heart I guess..I think it’s important to give people the truth. I don’t claim to be a weed rapper, or a dude who carries a pistol in his glove compartment everywhere I go (laughs) I make music for myself first, and I believe my fans enjoy that. I just do me ya know..
well a song wouldn’t be an “Elhae song” if I weren’t singing and rapping somewhere on it, so from that standpoint yes. From the subject matter, it’s got a darker more grown feeling to it I believe. I mean I’ve obviously grown and made many great memories as well as mistakes since the last release. All that comes into account when writing records.
I would say things I’ve experienced since the start of 2012. Since the beginning of this year it’s been a roller coaster. New management, like I said earlier bigger studios, performing at bigger venues, meeting and working with people I see on TV everyday, it’s pretty trippy (laughs) but it’s been a lot of ups and downs and I believe that’s what created “The Letters”
hmm I’d have to say all of them (laughs) if I had to pick though it’d be a draw between “The Demonstration” and “Words Unspoken”
We actually didn’t do that much promoting, which is why it shocked me when I woke up this morning. My twitter was flooded with anticipating fans. I tried to retweet as many as possible. We had a little trouble with the time, but they hung in there with me.
man, the cool thing about “The Letters” is that it’s not even my official project, it was really just something for the fans, but we’re going right back in to start on the official project, which will be recorded in Orlando. we’ve already finished a couple records. My homie @Ayotheproducer is executive producing it. He’s a beast man, worked with everyone from Diddy, to Wayne, to Ross, to Drake..the list goes on, so I’m really excited.
I gotta couple things lined up but the focus is mainly on getting the official project started. I’ll be in Atlanta at Fearless weirdos boutique on June 22nd. Fashion Fest 478 in Macon, GA on June 16th and waiting to hear back from management on a few others.
you can search “elhae the letters” on DatPiff or just go to http://elhae.bandcamp.com
hmm, let’s see..we’re working on a clothing line that should be dropping in the next couple of months. more details about that to come though. Also it’s Team Zero Brain Gang BOY!
