theWHOevers Drop New Album – Rare Tape

Greg Reynoso Journalist

Respected Chicago Hip-Hop duo, theWHOevers, just dropped a 16-track album titled Rare Tape on all major streaming platforms. It’s been nearly two years since the last album release by the duo, however, it has been a productive two years, full of bouncers, including honorable mentions and a personal favorite, Out My Head! featuring Brahmulus. Throughout the last two years, we have also been introduced to new flavors from 100% BIG TALK, a duo comprised of JE$$E of theWHOevers and Just Wise of Highest Low.

The latest drop from the Chicago duo, Rare Tape, arrives as a head-bopping, verse-repeating hour of Hip-Hop gold. Press play on the first track, It’s Like That, and you will understand what I am talking about. Continue listening through Rare Tape and slow it down with Hands of Time featuring the Queen of Chicago herself, Lili K. Finishing out this new drop includes a remix to and oldie-but-goldie – Bbq, with Bbq 2 featuring Pugz Atoms and Scheme Navarro. There is no denying the positive reaction from fans, both old and new, with Rare Tape offering something for all who appreciate timeless Hip-Hop, and feel-good music with rhyme and soul. It is worth mentioning the production team behind Rare Tape, with honorable production mentions including Slot-A, D.jbari, JE$$E, Walkingshoe, Barrio Lopez, Shepard Sounds and Nick Arcade. Tap in below and add Rare Tape to your playlist by following the link to your preferred streaming service. For those of us who have been bouncing with theWHOevers for the last few years, the duo is set to release classics including Renovations, Red Tape, and Ridin’ Waves on all major streaming platforms Friday, December 6th.
